Our Story

How Pusaka Amanah came to be

Pusaka Amanah was founded with a straightforward purpose: to offer families in Malaysia a place where estate and inheritance matters could be handled carefully, without the hurry or distance that can sometimes accompany legal processes.

The practice was established in Kuala Lumpur by a small group of solicitors who had spent years working on estate matters and noticed, time and again, that families often felt uncertain about where to begin and unsure of how long things would take. The firm's founders believed that this uncertainty was something legal practitioners could genuinely address — not simply by being efficient, but by being clear, considerate, and present.

The name Pusaka Amanah reflects the values at the heart of the practice. Pusaka, meaning legacy or inheritance in Malay, speaks to the subject we work with. Amanah, meaning trust and faithful care, speaks to how we work. Together, they describe what we try to offer every family who comes through our door.

Since opening, we have supported families across a wide range of circumstances — from straightforward estates with clear documentation to more involved situations requiring formal representation. Each matter is treated with the same attentiveness, regardless of its scale.

Our Approach

Estate and inheritance law, handled with particular care

Pusaka Amanah specialises in the legal aspects of estate planning, will preparation, and the administration of estates following a bereavement. Our work sits within the tradition of careful, thorough legal practice — the kind that takes time to understand the full picture before offering a view.

We are familiar with the range of estate structures common in Malaysia, including the legal considerations arising from different personal law frameworks applicable under Malaysian law. This breadth of experience means we can offer considered guidance across varied family circumstances.

Our approach to each matter is methodical and unhurried. We begin by listening carefully, then set out a clear picture of what the process involves before any formal steps are taken. Where formal representation is needed, we prepare thoroughly and stand alongside our clients with steadiness throughout.

The families we support often come to us during periods of significant personal weight. We take that seriously. We aim to be the sort of firm that people recall as having made a difficult process more bearable — through clarity, discretion, and genuine attentiveness.
